The Studio
Where the magic happens—crafting sonic landscapes from the Oregon Coast
Philosophy
Tone, Arrangement, and Soul
The studio is where ideas become sound—where decades of musical intuition meet modern production tools. Every session is an exploration, every tone intentional, every note considered.
I believe in capturing honest moments, even when they're rough around the edges. The best music comes from opening yourself completely to the process, not limiting yourself by what you think someone will like.
Working from the Oregon Coast provides the perfect backdrop for creativity—stormy evenings, quiet mornings, and the space to let music breathe and develop naturally.
The Instrument
7-String Territory
The 7-string guitar has been my primary instrument for years—the extended range opens up possibilities that standard tunings simply can't reach. The low B string adds depth and weight that transforms how you approach composition.
My main instrument is a custom Ibanez Universe, paired with Neural DSP plugins for modern high-gain tones and ambient textures. The combination of vintage-style playing with modern production creates a sound that's both familiar and forward-thinking.
Whether it's the aggressive riffs of a track like "Static" or the atmospheric layers of "Dreaming in Lofi," the extended range is central to my sound.

The Process
From Idea to Track
Exploration
Every track starts with exploration—experimenting with tones, riffs, and ideas without any destination in mind. The best material emerges when you're not forcing it.
Arrangement
Once the core idea exists, it's time to build the arrangement—layering guitars, crafting drum parts with GetGood Drums, and shaping the overall arc of the piece.
Refinement
The final phase is all about tone and mix—dialing in Neural DSP settings, adjusting levels, and making sure every element serves the song.
